Invercargill's Kackling Kea is a vibrant, happy backpackers where you are welcomed by the owners Mark, Jodi, and their two kids Ethan
and Kyia.

At the Kackling Kea we try to make your stay as close to home as possible. Walk into the lounge and relax on the couches, read a book, play a board game or listen to some tunes on the stereo. Make new friends and trade tales with fellow travellers from around the world.

In the morning, you’ll wake up to the delicious smell of freshly baked bread. Help yourself to warm bread while making a cup of tea or coffee.

Visit Invercargill, or use us as a base while visiting Fiordland, Stewart Island or the Catlins nearby.

Then, sink blissfully to sleep in the comfort of your own bed complete with sheets and duvets to die for!!
